48' Composite fiberglass catamaran

This web site records the building of a 48' foot catamaran.

The Designer is Kurt Hughes and the boat his IM48 design at 48' long x 28' wide and is designed to USCG (United States Coast Gaurd) regulations.   You can click here to access some photos, 3-D model and plans of this design.

 I am using all of the latest fiberglass fabrication methods with excellent results, including Resin Infusion.  This is a new method for the homebuilder and at the time of the start of the project, not much information was available. 

Within this website I hope you will find much informaiton helpful to your project.  If you would like more detailed information regarding Resin Infusion, a CD is also available for purchase.  This CD would be a good start for the novice or experienced builder looking to get started with Resin Infusion.
